La Fabrique des savoirs
La Fabrique des savoirs (The Knowledge Factory) project was born in 2020 from a shared desire by Université Gustave Eiffel and the Paris-Vallée de la Marne agglomeration to encourage the dissemination of knowledge and strengthen the university's local ties.
La Fabrique des Savoirs offers a varied programme of interactive science communication events, including round tables, webinars, workshops and visits. The events are open to all and are held in different places across the agglomeration, as well as being available online. They are an opportunity for researchers, teacher-researchers and PhD students from Université de Gustave Eiffel and experts from local companies to share their scientific questions and discuss the stakes of their research.
The initiative is based on partnership with local actors, namely member towns of the agglomeration, the media library network and associations, who help co-design the events according to the needs and current events in the local area. The project’s Programme Committee helps coordinate local scientific outreach and facilitates networking among actors.
La Fabrique des Savoirs is supported by the I-SITE FUTURE project and the “France 2030 - Areas of Innovation” programme, as part of the “Building for the Future, Living in the Future” project.
