BioExp, at the heart of experimental biomechanics

Published in January 2021 and updated in March 2023
-

Follow the team of scientists from the Biomechanics and Impact Mechanics Laboratory, through 500 m² dedicated to biomechanical experimentation on biological materials, impact tests and internal observation of the human body. BioExp responds to biomechanical analysis needs at different levels, from isolated samples of biological tissue to the entire body, at quasi-static or dynamic strain rates. Located on the Lyon Campus of Université Gustave Eiffel, the facility is open to academic and industrial actors in order to respond to issues in the fields of health engineering, so as to better understand bodily trauma and healing.
