-

Daniella Gabra Gilda is a PhD student at the MCD (Sustainable Construction Materials) laboratory at Université Gustave Eiffel. After completing her preparatory studies at an engineering school specialised in materials chemistry, Daniella began an undergraduate degree in chemistry, which she followed up with a first-year Master’s in “Risks and the Environment” and a second year in “Geomaterials”.

Her research focuses on the eco-design of a geopolymer concrete as an ecological alternative to classic concrete. The major advantage of this geopolymer would be a 70% reduction in the environmental impact of the material compared with classic concrete. Daniella is currently exploring the durability of this concrete while seeking to improve its performance.
