Gender-based and sexual violence in sport
Following media scandals and lawsuits, people have slowly begun to speak out about gender-based and sexual violence in sport. Nevertheless, we still have a long way to go, as shown by this documentary produced by students of the Master’s degree in Sport and Social Science (UFR STAPS) at Université Gustave Eiffel. Sociologists, journalists and actors from the sports world were interviewed to create a specific definition of this type of violence, while also providing solutions. The objective is to break the silence that often reigns in sport, both at the Olympic and the local level.
