-

Marine Dumon is a PhD student at the IMSE (Instrumentation, Modelling, Simulation and Experimentation) laboratory of Université Gustave Eiffel. Initially drawn to literature, she ultimately chose to pursue another of her passions: maths! After an undergraduate degree and a Master’s in Mathematics, Marine began a PhD on air pollution.

Marine aims to improve sensors for the detection of gaseous air pollutants - an undertaking with high stakes for the health of all! More precisely, she is looking for mathematical tools to help improve the accuracy and efficiency of these sensors. Who’d have thought that maths could save the world!
