Alexis Gautier, researcher in urban engineering
Alexis Gautier is a project manager at Mission Risques Naturels and a doctoral student at Lab'URBA at Gustave Eiffel University. A curious, calm and reserved student, Alexis particularly enjoyed history and sport at secondary school. Feeling a little lost, he was even somewhat afraid of the future! After obtaining a scientific baccalaureate, he chose to pursue a double degree in History and Political Science, followed by a Master's degree in urban planning, public policy and natural hazards. His subject? He is currently working on the resilience of buildings, their ability to withstand natural disasters.
His goal? To help residents protect themselves from natural hazards by creating a methodology for diagnosing the factors involved in the vulnerability and/or resilience of buildings.
