Transpolis: the experimental city for our future mobility

Located in the Ain plain, around 30 kilometres from Lyon, the Transpolis platform is a full-scale test city for researchers and manufacturers dedicated to urban mobility. Covering an area of around 30 hectares, the test city includes four districts with 12km of different types of roads that can be adjusted thanks to movable facades, pavements, markings and panels.

Researchers explain how Transpolis helps them conduct experiments and develop innovative research in the fields of urban mobility, driverless vehicles and new concepts of traffic management, in a realistic, modular and risk-free urban environment.
